Our Deputy Legal Director, Seher Khawaja, was quoted by CBS Money Watch regarding the Pay Transparency Law that went into effect across New York State this week. The law now requires employers with 4 or more employees to list the salary range in advertisements for a job, promotion, or transfer opportunities. This helps to reduce pay discrepancies and benefits employers. "Employers say that when they post good faith salary ranges, they get better candidates, because job applicants are better suited to the role," Seher Khawaja told Megan Cerullo.
